What you can expect
- Keyboard. Everything can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, in a sensible order, with a visible focus ring. Discover's panes, the browse filters, star ratings and the account tabs all have full keyboard support, including arrow keys where you'd expect them.
- Screen readers. Pages use proper headings, landmarks and labels. Posters carry the film's title as alternative text; decorative images carry none. Scores are read with their meaning ("Fi1m score 92"), not as bare numbers. Discover announces new answers as they arrive.
- Contrast and colour. Text meets AA contrast in both the dark and light themes. Colour is never the only carrier of meaning: score bands are labelled as well as coloured, and states (selected, checked, error) are shown by shape or text too.
- Text. Everything scales with your browser's text size to 200% without loss of content or function. There is no text in images. The page reflows to a single column on narrow screens.
- Motion. Nothing autoplays: not trailers, not carousels, not video backgrounds. If your system asks for reduced motion, we honour it, and the remaining transitions become instant.
- Themes. Dark and light, switchable from every page, remembered in your browser; the default follows your system.
- Forms. Every field has a visible label. Errors are described in words next to the field and announced. Nothing has a time limit.
Where we know we fall short

How we test
Every template is checked with automated tools (axe, Lighthouse) and by hand with a keyboard, with VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, with NVDA on Windows, and at 200% text size, in both themes. New features aren't released until they pass. Twice a year we commission an independent audit and publish a summary of what it found here.

Enforcement
Fi1m is not a public sector body, so the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018 don't apply to us. We hold ourselves to the same standard anyway.
