Biography
Kathy Jones-Gates is a historian and former museum director who appeared as herself in the documentary Dawson City: Frozen Time (2016). She also contributed as a researcher to the film, which examines the 1978 discovery of nitrate film reels in Dawson City, Yukon.
Born and raised in England, she served as Director of the Dawson City Museum from 1974 to 1982. She worked as a radio and print correspondent in the Yukon and co-founded and co-edited two community newspapers. Since retiring, she has written and presented on Yukon history and conducted research for books and film projects.
