Biography
Sam Egan is an American television writer, producer and journalist. His credits include writing and producing for series such as Quincy, M.E., The Fall Guy, Northern Exposure (1990), The Outer Limits (1995), Sanctuary (2008) and Jeremiah.
As a journalist, Egan has written for Rolling Stone and edited the arts magazine The Every Other Weekly. He is the son of a Holocaust survivor; the The Outer Limits episode "Tribunal" drew on his father's experiences in Auschwitz-Birkenau.
Egan has received an Emmy nomination and other awards, including a Leo Award nomination for his work on Sanctuary and a Literacy in the Media Award for an episode of Jeremiah.
