Biography
Sybil Adelman, also known as Sybil Adelman Sage, is a Canadian television writer and producer. Born on 15 March 1942 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, she began her career in Hollywood as secretary to Jerry Lewis before moving into comedy writing.
Her credits include episodes of The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1973), Maude (1974–1975), The Bob Newhart Show (1974), Magnum, P.I. (1985), Growing Pains (1985–1987), Anything But Love (1989) and Northern Exposure (1991). She received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Writing in a Comedy-Variety or Music Special for the 1975 special Lily. She has frequently collaborated with her husband Martin Sage.
