Biography
Zoë Schiffer is an American technology journalist and author. She is director of business and industry at Wired and previously served as managing editor of the Platformer newsletter and as a senior reporter at The Verge.
Her reporting has focused on Elon Musk’s acquisition and leadership of Twitter, later rebranded as X. In 2024 she published the book Extremely Hardcore: Inside Elon Musk’s Twitter, based on interviews with former employees and internal documents.
Schiffer appears as herself in the 2026 documentary film Musk, directed by Alex Gibney, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival.
