Biography
Aaron Zigman (born 6 January 1963) is an American composer, arranger, songwriter and producer. Born in San Diego, California, he is classically trained and studied at the University of California, Los Angeles. He began his career writing and arranging songs for artists including Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner and Christina Aguilera before moving into film scoring.
His first major film score was for John Q. (2002). He is best known for his work on The Notebook (2004), Bridge to Terabithia (2007), The Proposal (2009), What's Your Number? (2011) and The Other Woman (2014). Zigman has received multiple BMI Film Music Awards and has collaborated frequently with director Nick Cassavetes.
