Biography
Accursio Di Leo, also credited as Niccolò Accursio Di Leo, was an Italian actor and theatre director. Born on 5 March 1917 in Caltabellotta, Sicily, he trained at the Accademia d'arte drammatica in Rome from 1942 and began his career in theatre.
He directed productions at the Teatro Stabile di Catania and worked with actors including Turi Ferro and Paolo Ferrari. Di Leo appeared in several films directed by Francesco Rosi, including The Mattei Affair (1972), Illustrious Corpses (1976), Christ Stopped at Eboli (1979) as the Joiner, and Three Brothers (1981) as the 1st Friend at Bar. He died on 24 August 1997 in Palermo.
