Biography
Adam Avery is an American film editor and visual effects editor. He began his career in post-production coordination on films including Ghost Ship (2002) and Gothika (2003), later working as a visual effects editor on major studio productions.
His visual effects credits include Jack Reacher (2012), Godzilla (2014), The Magnificent Seven (2016), Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017), Ad Astra (2019), Godzilla vs. Kong (2021) and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024). He served as editor on Onslaught (2026).
Avery holds bachelor's degrees in communications and cinema studies from the University of Washington.
