Biography
Adam Bousdoukos is a German actor of Greek origin, born on 25 January 1974 in Hamburg. He grew up in the Altona district and trained at the Stage School Hamburg after appearing in commercials as a teenager.
Bousdoukos made his feature debut in Fatih Akin's Short Sharp Shock (1998), for which he shared the Bronze Leopard at the Locarno Film Festival with co-stars Mehmet Kurtuluş and Aleksandar Jovanovic; the trio later received the Grimme-Preis in 2001. He has appeared in nearly all of Akin's films, including a leading role and co-writing credit on Soul Kitchen (2009). Other credits include Head-On (2004) as Barmann, In July (2000), Kebab Connection (2004), Chalet Girl (2011), In the Fade (2017) and The Golden Glove (2019).
He ran the Greek restaurant Sotiris in Hamburg-Ottensen for nearly ten years and has supported the Soul Kids charity since 2009.
