Biography
Adam Rapp is an American writer, playwright, novelist and screenwriter. Born on 15 June 1968 in Joliet, Illinois, he graduated from Clarke University and completed a playwriting fellowship at the Juilliard School.
He is known for his plays, including the Pulitzer Prize finalist Red Light Winter (2006), and for television writing on series such as The Looming Tower (2018), Vinyl (2016), Flesh and Bone (2015) and In Treatment (2008–2010). He has also written for American Rust (2021–2024) and Dexter: New Blood (2021), and directed the film Winter Passing (2006).
Rapp is the brother of actor Anthony Rapp. His awards include the 2012 PEN/Laura Pels International Foundation for Theater Award and the 2007 Benjamin H. Danks Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
