Biography

Adam Wiltzie is an American composer and sound engineer based in Brussels, Belgium. He was born on 17 September 1969 in New York City. After a knee injury ended a potential tennis career at age 16, he moved to Austin, Texas, where he lived for ten years before relocating to Europe.

Wiltzie is a founder of the ambient projects Stars of the Lid and A Winged Victory for the Sullen (with Dustin O'Halloran). He has composed scores for films including Salero (2016), Iris (2016), God's Own Country (2017), The Yellow Birds (2017), Whitney (2018) and American Woman (2018). He has also collaborated with Jóhann Jóhannsson on scores such as Arrival (2016).
