Biography
Aisling Walsh is an Irish film and television director and screenwriter. She studied at the Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology and the National Film School in Beaconsfield.
Walsh directed the BBC miniseries Fingersmith (2005) and Room at the Top (2012). Her other credits include the feature films Song for a Raggy Boy (2003), which she also wrote, The Daisy Chain (2008) and Maudie (2016), as well as the television films An Inspector Calls (2015) and Elizabeth Is Missing (2019).
She received a BAFTA TV Award for Room at the Top and Irish Film and Television Award and Canadian Screen Award recognition for Maudie.
