Biography
Akushula Selayah, also credited as Akushla Sellajaah, was a Sri Lankan actor. She appeared as Sura in the Italian film Slave of the Cannibal God (1978) and as Nambia (Africa) in Tarzan the Ape Man (1981).
Selaya acted in several Sinhala-language films, including Rampage (1978), Thavalama (1981), Bandura Mal (1981), Re Manamali (1982), Hithath Hodai Wedath Hodai (1983) and Suraduthiyo (1985). She was also a prominent fashion model and is described in Sri Lankan sources as the country’s first supermodel.
