Biography
Al Hopson, also credited as Alfred Hopson, was an American character actor. He appeared in small supporting and bit parts in feature films and on television from the 1950s until the late 1990s.
His film roles include the Bartender in The Hired Hand (1971), Al Boyce in The Reivers (1969), an Executive in Silent Movie (1976), the Man Who is Shot in High Anxiety (1977), Elmer in Racing with the Moon (1984), and Grandpa at the Bar Mitzvah in The Wedding Singer (1998). On television he had guest roles in series including Perry Mason (1957), Maverick (1957), The Andy Griffith Show (1960), Ironside (1967), Falcon Crest (1981), Dallas (1980) and Highway to Heaven (1986).
Hopson was born on 20 March 1920 and died on 16 October 1998 in Los Angeles.
