Biography
Alan Boyle is an Irish actor born on 25 May 1984. He is known for his role as Joe Purcell in Neil Jordan's film The Butcher Boy (1997).
Boyle and Eamonn Owens, who played the lead character, were both discovered at a primary school in Killeshandra, County Cavan, during casting and had no previous acting experience.
His other credited screen role is as Harry in the short film The Hard Case (1995).
