Biography
Albert Valentin (1902–1968) was a Belgian screenwriter and film director. Born in La Louvière, he began working in cinema in the late 1920s and early 1930s.
He collaborated with René Clair as assistant director on À nous la liberté (1931) and co-wrote the screenplay for Jean Renoir's Boudu sauvé des eaux (1932, also known as Boudu Saved from Drowning). Valentin later wrote scripts for Jean Grémillon, including L'Étrange Monsieur Victor (1938) and Le ciel est à vous (1944), and directed two feature films in the late 1940s.
