Biography
Albert Venohr (1902–1979) was a German actor who appeared mainly in supporting roles on stage, film and television. He trained at the school of Louise Dumont in Düsseldorf, made his professional debut in 1919 at the Reußisches Theater in Gera and joined the Schlossparktheater in Berlin in 1921.
Venohr played Sailor 2 in F. W. Murnau’s Nosferatu (1922). His other screen credits include Carmen (1918), Die gelbe Flagge (1937) and the role of Lew Borissowitsch Kamenew in the television series Bürgerkrieg in Russland (1967). He took part in the 1928 Berlin premiere of Bertolt Brecht’s Die Dreigroschenoper and was married to actress Maria Griem.
