Biography
Alec Puro is an American composer, musician and songwriter. He began his career as a session drummer, working with artists including Jackson Browne, Cher and Robby Krieger of The Doors. In 1996 he co-founded the band Deadsy while studying at the California Institute of the Arts.
Puro has composed music for numerous films and television series. His credits include the series The Fosters (2013–2016) and Black Summer (2019–2021), and films such as The Art of Getting By (2011), Higher Ground (2011), All Nighter (2017) and Blade of the 47 Ronin (2022). He scored Nimrods (2025) and has collaborated with Linkin Park on projects including the film Mall (2014). He founded the music production company Gramoscope Music in 2006.
