Biography
Alejandro Gómez Monteverde is a Mexican film director and screenwriter. Born on 13 July 1977 in Tampico, Tamaulipas, he moved to the United States as a teenager and studied film at the University of Texas at Austin, graduating in 2002.
His debut feature, Bella (2006), which he directed and co-wrote, won the People's Choice Award at the Toronto International Film Festival. Subsequent films include Little Boy (2015), which he directed and co-wrote, Sound of Freedom (2023), which he directed and wrote, and Cabrini (2024), which he directed.
Monteverde is married to actress Ali Landry.
