Biography
Alex Kalymnios is an English director, producer and screenwriter. She graduated from Bournemouth University with a BA in TV and Video Production in 2002 and later attended the BBC Director's Academy.
Kalymnios began her career as a runner at Children's BBC, rising to assistant producer, and directed the short film More Than a Job's Worth. She directed episodes of Hollyoaks (2007–2009), Hollyoaks Later, EastEnders, Waterloo Road and the Being Human spin-off Becoming Human (2011), the latter earning a BAFTA Cymru nomination. Her later credits include episodes of The 100 (2014), Timeless (2016), Once Upon a Time (2011), Quantico (2015), S.W.A.T. (2017), Titans (2018), The White Princess (2017) and The Recruit (2022), as well as the films Cleveland Abduction (2015) and Love You to Death (2019).
