Biography
Alexander Chaplin is an American actor. Born Alexander Gaberman on 20 March 1971 in New York City, he trained at the Juilliard School and earlier attended Stagedoor Manor Performing Arts Training Center.
He is best known for playing speechwriter James Hobert in the sitcom Spin City (1996–2000). Other film and television credits include The Basketball Diaries (1995, as Bobo), recurring appearances in Scrubs, and roles in The Report (2019) and The Assistant (2020) as Max. He is the son-in-law of producer and director Harold Prince.
