Biography
Alexis Bloom is a South African documentary film director and producer. She was born in Johannesburg and graduated from the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism in 2001. She began her career editing for the series Frontline.
Bloom is known for her work as producer on We Steal Secrets: The Story of WikiLeaks (2013). She directed and produced Bright Lights: Starring Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds (2016) and Divide and Conquer: The Story of Roger Ailes (2018), as well as later films including Catching Fire: The Story of Anita Pallenberg (2023) and The Bibi Files (2024). She has been nominated for three Primetime Emmy Awards.
She is married to actor and director Fisher Stevens.
