Biography
Ali LeRoi is an American television producer, director and writer. He is best known as co-creator, with Chris Rock, of the sitcom Everybody Hates Chris (2005–2009), on which he also served as writer, director, teleplay writer, story writer and executive producer.
A native of Chicago, LeRoi studied film at Columbia College Chicago. He previously worked as a producer and writer on The Chris Rock Show. His other credits include producing and co-writing the films Head of State (2003) and Down to Earth (2001), producing Pootie Tang (2001), and directing the feature The Obituary of Tunde Johnson (2019) as well as episodes of series including Are We There Yet? (2010–2012) and Turner & Hooch (2021).
