Biography
Ali Selim is an American film and television director, writer and producer. He was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and attended the University of St. Thomas. He began his career directing television commercials and founded the production company Departure Films.
Selim wrote and directed the feature film Sweet Land (2005). His television directing credits include episodes of Criminal Minds (2011), In Treatment (2010), Gracepoint (2014), The Looming Tower (2018), Manhunt (2020) and Secret Invasion (2023). He has also written for series including The Looming Tower and Hit & Run (2021).
