Biography
Alicia del Lago was a Mexican actress. She was born on 11 January 1935 in Pátzcuaro, Michoacán, and died on 13 July 2015 in Mexico City.
She began her career in the early 1950s, appearing in Raíces (1953) and receiving an Ariel Award nomination for her role in Tizoc (1957). She went on to appear in more than 40 films, including Macario (1960), Canoa: A Shameful Memory (1975) and El Norte (1983), in which she played Lupe. She also worked extensively in television, appearing in telenovelas such as Mi pequeña Soledad, Marimar and Amor real. A second Ariel nomination came for Piedras verdes (2001). She was an honorary member of the Academia Mexicana de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas.
