Biography
Alix Hester is a costume designer who has worked on both film and television. Her film credits as costume designer include Mysterious Skin (2004), Step Up (2006), Smiley Face (2007), An American Crime (2007), Vampires Suck (2010) and The Last Word (2017). She has also contributed to the costume department on titles such as American Beauty (1999) and One Hour Photo (2002).
On television, Hester has served as costume designer for series including Sullivan & Son (2012–2014), Superstore (2016–2021), American Auto (2021–2023) and St. Denis Medical (2024–). She previously worked in theatre, serving as resident costume designer for Tim Robbins’ The Actors’ Gang and receiving the Drama Logue Award and the Ovation Award for costume design.
