Biography
Allen Nourse (31 May 1906 – 13 February 1991) was an American actor. Born in St Paul, Minnesota, he appeared on Broadway in productions including The Man Who Reclaimed His Head (1932), Craig's Wife (1947) and The Advocate (1963).
His film roles include Paddy Dolan in Pushover (1954), Jeb Bassett in The Phenix City Story (1955), Serl Whittier in Cell 2455 Death Row (1955), Marvin Rickles in Tight Spot (1955) and the Melton Police Chief in Odds Against Tomorrow (1959).
Nourse had an extensive television career, with recurring parts as Roger Harper and Joe Pollock in The Edge of Night (1957–1980) and as Dr George Richards in The Doctors (1969–1970), alongside guest appearances in series such as Route 66, The Defenders and Another World.
