Biography
Amedeo Pagani is an Italian film producer and screenwriter. He began his career writing screenplays in the early 1970s for films including The Night Porter (1974) and I'm for the Hippopotamus (1979), before moving into production in the late 1980s.
He has produced or co-produced numerous films, including Landscape in the Mist (1988), Ulysses' Gaze (1995), Eternity and a Day (1998) and The Weeping Meadow (2004) with Theo Angelopoulos, as well as Garage Olimpo (1999) and Birdwatchers (2008) with Marco Bechis, and the co-production 2046 (2004). In 2000 he founded the production company Classic Film.
Pagani has received David di Donatello and Nastro d'Argento nominations and awards for his producing work.
