Biography
Anabel Shaw (born Marjorie Henshaw) was an American actress. Born on 24 June 1921 in Oakland, California, she graduated from the University of California in 1943. She began her film career under her birth name, appearing in Here Come the Waves (1944), before adopting the stage name Anabel Shaw.
She appeared in a range of films during the 1940s and 1950s, including Shock (1946), Secret Beyond the Door (1947) as the Intellectual Sub-Deb, Gun Crazy (1950) as Ruby Tare Flagler, and To Hell and Back (1955). She also made television appearances, such as in Alfred Hitchcock Presents (1955). Her final film role was an uncredited part in The Mephisto Waltz (1971).
Shaw married sociologist Joseph Ford in 1948; they had three children, including archaeologist Anabel Ford, and divorced in 1986. She later married George Scopececk. She died on 16 April 2010 in Santa Barbara, California.
