Biography
Anders Randolf was a Danish-American actor who appeared in American films from 1913 to 1930. Born in Viborg, Denmark, he emigrated to the United States and began his screen career with Vitagraph Studios before becoming a freelance performer.
He was often cast in supporting villain roles and worked with stars including Douglas Fairbanks in The Black Pirate (1926), in which he played the pirate captain, Mary Pickford in Dorothy Vernon of Haddon Hall (1924), and Greta Garbo in The Kiss (1929). He also appeared uncredited as Dillings in The Jazz Singer (1927) and in Hal Roach comedy shorts such as Night Owls (1930) alongside Charley Chase and Laurel and Hardy.
Randolf died in Hollywood, California, on 2 July 1930 following a kidney operation.
