Biography
André Bervil (born André Fernand Raine) was a French stage and film actor. He was born on 25 November 1905 in Paris and died on 20 January 1972 in Nice.
He trained at a Paris acting school from the late 1920s and appeared in more than 50 film and television productions between 1932 and 1966, often in supporting roles. He also worked as a voice actor in dubbing.
Bervil is known for his performances in Le Trou (1960) as the prison director, Manon of the Spring (1952) as Anatole the baker, Au grand balcon (1949) and Loves of Casanova (1947). He was married to actress Suzanne Grey, daughter of Denise Grey.
