Biography
André Carnège was a French actor born Eugène Alfred Cargemel on 20 December 1890 in Nancy, Meurthe-et-Moselle. He appeared in numerous films from the 1930s to the 1950s, often in supporting roles as officials, judges or military figures.
He is credited as Judge in Orpheus (1950) directed by Jean Cocteau. Other notable appearances include Lady Killer (1937) as Le capitaine de la garnison d'Orange, Madame Sans-Gêne (1941) as Savary, and The Glass Castle (1950) as Le secrétaire. Carnège died on 12 May 1969 in Lagny-sur-Marne, Seine-et-Marne.
