Biography
Andrew Commis is an Australian cinematographer. He has worked as director of photography on feature films including Beautiful Kate (2009), The Rocket (2013), Girl Asleep (2015), The Daughter (2015), Angel of Mine (2019), Babyteeth (2020), High Ground (2020) and Blueback (2022), as well as the television series Halo (2024).
His films have screened at festivals including Cannes, Berlin, Tribeca and Toronto. Commis has received multiple awards and nominations from the Australian Cinematographers Society, including the Milli Award for Cinematographer of the Year, the Australian Film Institute and the Film Critics Circle of Australia.
