Biography
Andrew John Tait is a Scottish actor. He was born on 29 July 1979 in Murthly, Perthshire. He trained at Dundee College and Langside College Glasgow, graduating with a Diploma in Acting and Performance in 1999.
Tait has appeared in numerous British television series. His credits include Hanlon in Outlander (2020), Michael Stack in Shetland (2024), Neil MacKenzie in Rebus (2024), Sgt. Napier Carmichael in Scot Squad (2022), and Davie Beaton in Outlander: Blood of My Blood (2025). Earlier roles encompass guest appearances in Silent Witness, Lip Service and Murder Rooms.
In film, he has played the Roadblock Cop in My Son (2021), Ric in The Last Bus (2021), and the BK Lobby Businessman in Mutiny (2026). He has also worked in sound department on the short film Duck (2024).
