Biography
Anisa George is an American actor, filmmaker and theatre practitioner. She played Emma in Jonathan Demme’s 2008 film Rachel Getting Married.
A native of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, George graduated from Moravian Academy and earned a degree in Middle Eastern cultures from Barnard College. She has directed and produced documentaries including Don Quixote of Bethlehem (2005) and Building America in Bethlehem (2009), and her parents founded the experimental Touchstone Theatre company in Bethlehem.
