Biography
Anna Galiena is an Italian actress. She was born in Rome on 22 December 1949. After leaving university studies she moved to New York in the late 1970s, where she trained at the Actors Studio and appeared in stage productions including Shakespeare plays and works at the Public Theater.
She returned to Italy in 1984 and began working in film. Galiena came to international attention for her role as Mathilde in The Hairdresser's Husband (1990). Subsequent credits include Jamón jamón (1992), Three Lives and Only One Death (1996) as Maria Gabri-Colosso, and later appearances in Like Crazy (2016) and Emily in Paris (2020).
She has worked primarily in European cinema and television. In 2007 she was a member of the jury at the Moscow International Film Festival.
