Biography
Anna Klassen is an American screenwriter. She wrote the screenplay for the 2026 romantic drama The Last Sunrise, directed by Carlson Young and adapted from the novel by Anna Todd.
Klassen previously worked as a journalist, writing for outlets including Newsweek, The Daily Beast and Bustle. She transitioned to screenwriting full time after her script When Lightning Strikes placed on the Black List in 2017 and she won the ScreenCraft Fellowship the same year. Her other credits include the features A Time Lost and Dorothy and Alice, as well as several adaptations in development for major studios.
