Biography
Anne Pitoniak was an American actress. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and began her career in theatre, performing with the Actors Theatre of Louisville and appearing in numerous stage productions.
She received Tony Award nominations for Best Actress in a Play for the 1983 Broadway production of 'night, Mother and for Best Featured Actress in a Play for the 1994 revival of Picnic. Her film and television credits include Housekeeping (1987) as Aunt Lily, Agnes of God (1985), Best Seller (1987), Bed of Roses (1996) and guest roles in series such as Cheers (1987) and ER (1994). She died in New York City on 22 April 2007.
