Biography
Anne Vernon is a French actress, also credited as Ann Vernon and under variants of her birth name Édith Vignaud. She appeared in around 40 films between 1948 and 1970, working in French, British, Italian and American productions.
She trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and began in modelling and theatre before her screen debut. Her credits include Edward and Caroline (1951), General Della Rovere (1959) as Carla Fassio, and The Umbrellas of Cherbourg (1964) as Madame Emery. Three of her films were entered in the main competition at the Cannes Film Festival.
