Biography
Anne Wiazemsky was a French actress and novelist. Born in Berlin in 1947, she made her screen debut playing Marie in Robert Bresson's Au Hasard Balthazar (1966).
She married director Jean-Luc Godard in 1967 and appeared in several of his films, including La Chinoise (1967), Weekend (1967), Sympathy for the Devil (1968) and Tout Va Bien (1972). She also acted in Theorem (1968) directed by Pier Paolo Pasolini and other films such as Pigsty (1969).
Wiazemsky later published novels including Jeune Fille (2007), based on her experience filming Au Hasard Balthazar. She died in Paris in 2017.
