Biography
Anthony Paul Kelly (1897–1932) was an American screenwriter and playwright. He wrote scenarios and adaptations for approximately sixty films between 1914 and 1930, beginning his career as a staff writer for Selig Polyscope and later working for Essanay and Famous Players before freelancing.
His stage play Three Faces East (1918) was produced on Broadway and later adapted into films of the same name in 1926 and 1930, as well as British Intelligence (1940). Kelly provided the scenario for D. W. Griffith’s Way Down East (1920).
