Biography
Anton Bruckner (1824–1896) was an Austrian composer, organist and music theorist. He is known for his symphonies, masses, motets and the Te Deum.
Bruckner’s Symphony No. 7 features prominently in Luchino Visconti’s film Senso (1954), where sections were recorded for the soundtrack and adapted by Nino Rota. His music has also been used in other productions, including the television film Saraband (2003).
