Biography
Antonia San Juan (also credited as Antonia García San Juan) is a Spanish actress, director and screenwriter. She was born on 22 May 1961 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
She moved to Madrid in her early twenties and worked in classical theatre before performing monologues in bars and pubs. San Juan gained recognition for her role as Agrado in Pedro Almodóvar’s All About My Mother (1999), for which she received a Goya nomination for best new actress. She later appeared as Estela Reynolds in the television series La que se avecina (2007–) and as Imoguiri in The Platform (2019) and The Platform 2 (2024).
San Juan has directed films and shorts, and received the Medalla de Oro de Canarias in 2007. She was married to actor Luis Miguel Seguí from 2009 to 2015.
