Biography
Antonio Taguba is a retired major general in the United States Army and a Filipino-American. Born on 31 October 1950 in Manila, Philippines, he rose through the ranks over a 34-year career that included command positions and service in Germany and Korea.
He is best known for authoring the 2004 Taguba Report, an internal Army investigation into detainee abuse at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq. The report was leaked and published that year. Taguba has appeared as himself in documentaries including Ghosts of Abu Ghraib (2007), A Long March (2022) and Cover-Up (2025).
