Biography
Ariel Coelho (1951–1999) was a Brazilian actor. Born in Curitiba, Paraná, he trained at the Curso de Arte Dramática da Fundação Teatro Guaíra and made his stage debut in 1969. He performed with the theatre group Pessoal do Cabaré in several productions during the early 1980s.
Coelho appeared in films including The Emerald Forest (1985) as Padre Leduc, Where the River Runs Black (1986) and Moon Over Parador (1988) as Paulo. He had an extensive career in Brazilian television, with roles in telenovelas and series such as O Amor É Nosso (1981), Sassaricando (1987–1988) and Chiquinha Gonzaga (1999). He died in Rio de Janeiro.
