Biography
Asta Esper Hagen Andersen (1919–2012) was a Danish actress. She trained with Carlo Wieth and made her stage debut in 1942 at Riddersalen in Copenhagen. In 1945 she joined Aarhus Teater with her husband, the actor Paul Hagen, where she appeared in numerous productions including several Holberg plays.
Andersen began appearing in Danish films from 1941 and continued working in film and television into her nineties. She is known for her role as Anna in Babette's Feast (1987), as well as appearances in Prince of Jutland (1994) and Dark Horse (2005). She was the mother of actor Esper Hagen.
