Biography
Atli Geir Grétarsson is an Icelandic production designer and art director. His film credits include production design on Jar City (2006), White Night Wedding (2008), The Deep (2012), The Oath (2016), Arctic (2018), Mihkel (2018) and Against the Ice (2022). He has also worked as art director on Noah (2014) and in various art department roles on international productions filmed in Iceland, including Prometheus (2012), The Fifth Estate (2013) and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016).
On television he has served as production designer on the Icelandic series Trapped (2015–2021) and Blackport (2021–2022), as well as Thin Ice (2020). He has received multiple Edda Awards for best set design, winning in 2008, 2013 and 2023.
