Biography
Atul Kulkarni is an Indian actor who has worked in Hindi, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and English language films. He received a diploma in acting from the National School of Drama, New Delhi, in 1995.
Kulkarni won National Film Awards for Best Supporting Actor for Hey Ram (2000) and Chandni Bar (2001). He is known for roles including Laxman Pandey in Rang De Basanti (2006), Dr Iqbal Ansari in Khakee (2004) and Jairaj Seth in Raees (2017). He wrote the screenplay for Laal Singh Chaddha (2022) and is president of Quest, a research-action organisation focused on improving education quality.
