Biography
Aurélien Predal is a production designer, concept artist and visual development artist working in animation. He graduated from Gobelins in 2006 with the short film Burning Safari and has since worked with studios including Aardman Animations, Pixar, Sony Pictures Animation, DreamWorks, Laika and Illumination.
He served as production designer on Ron's Gone Wrong (2021), Mune: Guardian of the Moon (2014), an episode of Star Wars: Visions (2023) and the mini-series Asterix & Obelix: The Big Fight (2025). His visual development credits include Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023), Inside Out 2 (2024), Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation (2018), Penguins of Madagascar (2014) and The Little Prince (2015).
Predal has received Annie Award nominations for production design on Ron's Gone Wrong (2022) and Asterix & Obelix: The Big Fight (2026), as well as wins and nominations at the Concept Art Awards.
