Biography
Ava Coleman is a television writer and producer. She graduated from Sidwell Friends School in 2011 and studied communications at the University of Southern California.
She worked in the music industry for several years before moving into screenwriting in 2019. Her first writer's room role was on Girls5eva (2021–2022), where she served as story editor and writer. She joined Abbott Elementary (2021–) in its second season as executive story editor and writer, later working as producer on the series. She has received Primetime Emmy nominations and other awards for her contributions to Abbott Elementary.
The principal character on Abbott Elementary shares her name by coincidence.
